Metabolism was once hugely celebrated in the 60/70s, and has faded out from contemporary architectural scene late in the 80s. Where is Metabolism now? Has Metabolism survived?
The ideas of ownership played a huge role on the creation of the Metabolism movment. This reseach looked into different ideas and meanings of ownership and used them as a bridge to link the existence of Metabolism in today’s architecture.


The writing ends by arguing that Metabolism did not disappeared after the 1980s; rather, the idea of Metabolism survived as new typologies of architecture, and continuing to challenge the ideas of ownership.
